General Games: Lords of the Earth
4-17-00 Update:
Put latest card list in "Appendices" as an Excel spreadsheet. This is slightly more up-to-date than the cards in the listings.
Lords of the Earth: An Introduction.
This is a set of Magic: the Gathering cards. The cards are broken down into a main set, called "Lords of the Earth", and two expansions, "Edgecomb's Stand" and "Kardan's Fall". The sets consists of 620 cards, not counting basic land. There are 300 in the main set, and 160 in each of the expansions.

This first section on this page gives a brief look at the storylines, themes, abilities and mechanics found within the set. As I have put a lot of time into making sure these cards work together in the context of the strategies they introduce, the story line they follow, and what they are meant to do to the game of Magic as a whole, I want to encourage you to take the time to read over this section before reviewing the rest of the set.

The rest of this page then lists the cards, broken down by expansion first, with a synopsis of the storylines for each included, then by color, with some explanations of the themes present in each color. I also have included a section on some other ideas I have for Magic:TG in general. Finally, there is an appendix that includes an Excel version of the set (which is the most up-to-date version) and the set in Apprentice format (which I have been using to play-test the cards).
     - Enjoy!

Excel Spreadsheet Here is the master Excel spreadsheet that this set was designed in. This is probably the best way to review the set if you want to take it offline.
Statistics Being the mathematically inclined type of person that I am, I have a statistical distribution of the types and colors of cards that you could expect to see in booster packs.
Apprentice Files Unzip these files, then place all of them in the root of the Apprentice directory except for the cardlist.dat. The cardlist.dat is placed in the "Sets" sub-directory.
