Ed Kaiser, Ph.D.
Graduated March 2010

About Me:
I completed my Ph.D. in Computer Science at Portland State University, in Portland, Oregon, USA. My thesis advisor was Wu-chang Feng. My thesis, entitled "Addressing Automated Adversaries of Network Applications", investigated methods to detect adversarial automation, to combine detectors to predict if a client is malicious, and to disincentivize undesirable automated behaviors. These research challenges were investigated in the contexts of cheating in multiplayer online games and resource consumption attacks against Web-based applications.
