Academic Background
I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, India in 1984. I received my PhD in 1990 from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. I have been a faculty at Oregon State University, University of South Carolina, and SUNY New Paltz.
My current areas of research are in:
- Study the use of Terahertz frequencies for wireless networking. The goal is to deliver terabits/sec data rates to users using the enormous available spectrum.
- Suatainable natural language processing (NLP)
- Anomaly detection, classification under arbitrary distribution shift recycle dataset
