Dr. Miguel Andres Figliozzi

Dr. Figliozzi teaches (or has taught) graduate courses in logistics systems modeling, optimization, networks, freight and logistics, public transportation, traffic operations, the junior or senior transportation engineering course, and a transportation research communication seminar. In all courses he emphasizes mathematical modeling as a tool to better understand and evaluate the economic, sustainabiltiy, and socioeconomic aspects of complex logistics and transportation problems.

Postgraduate students in Transportation Enginering are encouraged to take a balanced and multidisciplinary portfolio of courses as required by their research projects and personal interests. Links to some of the available resources/courses at PSU can be found below:

Dr. Figliozzi is the current faculty advisor for the PSU ITE (Institute of Transportation Enigeneers) student chapter; he also was STEP (Students in Transportation Engineering and Planning) advisor. He is also a member of the Transportation Research Board (TRB) Network Modeling Committee and Transportation and Logistics Committee, and member of INFORMS Transportation Science and Logistics Society (TSL)
