Professor Figliozzi teaches (or has taught) graduate courses in logistics systems modeling, optimization, networks, freight and logistics, public transportation, traffic operations, and a transportation research communication seminar. In all courses he emphasizes mathematical and statistical modeling as a tool to better understand and evaluate the economic, sustainabiltiy, and socioeconomic aspects of complex logistics and transportation problems.
Graduate students in Transportation Enginering are encouraged to take a balanced and multidisciplinary portfolio of courses as required by their research projects and personal interests. Typical course choices are in Computer Science, Math and Stats , Bussines, or Urban Planning.
