Dr. Miguel Andres Figliozzi's main teaching and research areas include electric and new vehicle technologies, emissions and air quality modeling, non-motorized modes, freight and logistics, and transit and traffic operations.
Dr. Figliozzi joined Portland State University in August 2007. His previous academic appointment was at the University of Sydney. Dr. Figliozzi works in partnership with local, regional, state, and federal transportation agencies, organizations, and private companies. He is a member of the Transportation Research Board (TRB) Network Modeling Committee, Transportation and Logistics Committee, and Intermodal Terminal Design Committee. He is the current facutly advisor for STEP (Students in Transportation Engineering and Planning) and member mber of the ITS Transportation Lab.
