Wednesday was the first day of POPL. These pictures, featuring John Launchbury and Dave MacQueen, were taken in the venue.
Several of us went to dinner at Trattoria da "Arturo." The meal was excellent, as was the company, although I would not say it was the best value in Venice.
The menu did not include any seafood, which was a disappointment to me as I have eaten almost exclusively seafood on this trip. We shared salad and pasta courses. The second course dishes below include pork chops, veal, and various versions of steak. I had the tall rare steak with pepper corns.
