After John's talk, Patty Johan and I decided to play tourist.
We caught a boat near San Marco

Eventually we made it to the island of Burano, a very colorful island.
Although we didn't know at the time, Erik Meijer and his family were there the same day. They ate at a restaurant the name of which translates to the "black cat". They recommend it quite highly. Patty and I ate at a restaurant on the main square. It was fine, but not outstanding.
