The Quest for the Blade of Vesagran (Bard Epic 2.0)

Temperance
I have the Prismatic Dragon Blade (Bard Epic 1.5);
a required carry-over item from that quest is the Dark Orb.

- Two-group guild raid killed ALL mini-bosses and Overlord Mata Muram.
- Partial-group came back and took out the lightning warrior Oshiruk.


- Later, I completed the now obsolete signet collection task.

You do not need to have the Dark Orb with you to have this conversation.

Collect 7 Signets (Taromani's quest) for access to Asylum of Anguish (mobs below)

The signet quest for individual access and Zone AoE protection is
no longer necessary.   $#!%

I am unsure if you need to pass the 6 Trials (group or raid?) in MPG,
but you do need Taromani's Insignia quest to survive CoA's zone-wide AoE.
(Never mind, see #signets note above.)

Every Epic 2.0 quest requires a Globe of Discordant Energy.
Three different mobs and an event can produce a Globe. (Need more info.)

Return to Alkron Wyrmsong in Nobles' Cuaseway with your raid force.
In order to start the final encounter you must have the Dark Orb with you at the time you hand-in the Globe and three pieces of Black Chaos armor.

Oshiruk will spawn next to Alkron.
AE Rampages, hits for 170-2000 (560 avg), casts Tendrils of Oshiruk
  • Decrease Hitpoints for 500 per tick
  • Decrease Movement by 40%
  • Increase Curse Counter by 9
  • Magic resistance check (-1000)
The original triggered version spawns near Alkron; the Globe is returned to you.
  • Place the range casters, healers and rangers outside his AE range to the west.
  • Place tanks a bit to the east and close together and allow them to build some agro.
  • Keep Oshiruk centered, if you push him up a wall and he summons you might take a 200K fall.
If you fail you can try again by talking to Alkron and saying "summon" which brings a more difficult version of Oshiruk. He either mem-blurs frequently or cycles through the top 3-4 people on his hate list.

Loot the Dragorn Essence from Oshiruk's corpse.
This should spawn a Boss 2.0 prize chest.

Remove any Augmentations from your Prismatic Dragon Blade.

Give Alkron the Orb, the Essence and your Blade.
Receive your reward and 10 alternate ability points.
