Laser Cutting in 3D

The MME laser cutter is a great tool for cutting shapes in flat acrylic and wood. We are considering the purchase of a more powerful laser that can cut metal.

More sophisticated laser cutters are used in high speed and/or precision manufacturing processes. A recent blog post by the Ponoko corporation demonstrates some current 3D laser manufacturing techniques.
