Our first task in Mentor session today (about 10 minutes) is to conduct an internet search for the best, most interesting, cartoons illustrating some aspect of people or factions of society who are afraid of scientific progress; we might call them Luddites or technophobes. We will start from several different search engines and use various keywords to find a variety of cartoons.
When you find a good cartoon save it on your computer's desktop. At the end of the search time Bridger will come by with a flash drive on which to compile all of the cartoon files we find.
Places to start
Brainstorm for good search terms. You might start with something like "luddite cartoon" or "technophobia." If you think of other good keywords or search statagies please let the rest of us know.
After the cartoon search is done we will embark on the Mulivariable graph assignment.
