If you have ever = wanted to voice your opinion about the development of a software = package this is your chance! Our goal is to create a one stop read = for Claris programmers who should spend all their time on making this = the best software they can. Here's a couple of quick rules for = simplicity sake. First this paragraph must be included, second please = add a number and write only one or two sentences per item, third = please CC me (benjamin@cy-net.net) so I can consolidate and keep = things simple, finally this should be a not a commentary. = Please only list your item(s) and don't mess with other ones! If you = feel you must comment, rename the subject line and submit it to the = whole list. OK here we go: 1. Client side image mapping. 2. Interlaced JPEGs. 3. Background images that you can see. 4. Table width default not "100 Percent" but "Default" just like = height. 5. Defaults remain the same, even after hitting return. 6. "New Folder" and "New File" buttons in "Link to File..." dialog. 7. Support for AppleScript, VB, and XTND translators. 8. Don't mess with the tags I put in myself in some other program! = (Maybe a preference...) 9. Table cell height and width adjustments. 10. Multiple site management. 11. A 'preference' setting (General) to automatically create a = link/anchor when making a 'new file? 12. Format to stay in the chosen mode until changed, even after = hitting return. 13. Better implementation of graphics - ANY graphics. You add the = image by selecting an image on a local disk, but the final URL is not = represented in the code uploaded to the page. (either you see your = image in the editing mode, but not see it on the web page, or have it = on the web page with an empty box (image missing) in the editing mode. 14. Keyboard shortcuts for text justification. 15. Lower RAM requirements for Mac version (very often, well over 3 = MB of memory never gets used, which could be used by Netscape.) 16. Possibility of adding your own commentary instead of "". 17. Built-in FTP functionality, ala "Fetch" 18. The ability to create style sheets for tables. 19. Switch the return and option-return results when entering = text=8Amore natural. 20. I'd like to see CHP have an "Insert" command under File, similar = to CW word processing. It would allow those of us trying to take = newsletters created in PageMaker (or other DTP) and put them on the = web to export the stories as text files, and just insert them as we = build the pages...avoiding copying and pasting and flipping back and = forth between applications. 21. Tables resize based upon content (as they would with Netscape) 22. Table cell resizing both numerically and by dragging dividers 23. Automatic generation of .map files for image maps or .txt files = for cgi email, etc. (Since this is server oriented, perhaps offer = choices based upon the cgi that exists on the server.) 24. Document Styles, for consistency between pages on the same site = that need the same text/link/bg colors and bg images. 25. Plug in support, both for new CHP plug-ins and for existing = applicable one developed for PS and QXP. 26. A preview that actually looks like Netscape (or MSIE) would = display it. 27. Live Object (aka Opendoc) support. 28. SPELL CHECKING! Use of Claris spell checking and user word lists = would be helpful. 29. Display of text wrapped around graphics. 30. Customizable Floating Palettes. But don't just steal or borrow = from World Wide Web Weaver--buy them if need be....it's been a wonderful program. 31. Colored text for tags in text view 32. Customizable palettes for document options as alternative to Apple picker. ie. Ability to choose one of 216 basic/common hex colors 33. Ability to constrain aspect of image size =E1 la Photoshop. = (What is X-SAS?) 34. Reflect the current styles or tags applied to selected text in a = window or floating palette in working mode. 35. More table rows, 50 is not enough to display a good-sized table of data. WebWright, Inc.: Make a Presence. http://www.wwwright.com/ (409) 268-3022
