Do not even think about doing this without a high level guild with many 60th
level, well equipped members.

Start off by going to Akheva Ruins and killing the Sacrificial Remains at the
Sacrificial Pit. This will spawn A Shimmering Presence, which is invisible save
for the name. Hail him and he will ask for a Wisp Stone (summoned by mages).

Once you give him the wisp stone, he will despawn and turn into The Spirit of
Akelha'Ra. You will need an Essence Emerald (necromancer spell). Follow the
dialogue and eventually the spirit will ask for a soul to regain his power.
Give him the Essence Emerald. Then continue to follow the conversation until you
get the "Shadowed Scepter Frame". This is a 10 slot container.

You now need to gather together 10 Lucid Shards. These identify as different
letters, and are thus each unique. They drop as follows:

Dat    - Fungus     - Shik`Nar Warrior, Royal Guards; Priest Kak`thak
Dax    - Akheva     - Shaded stones, a shade golem, A shadow reaver; rubble; Xi Xaui
Kel    - The Grey   - Lake: Sun Revenants (large skeletons)
Kelera - Sanctus    - Upper Ring: Legionnaires, An Intervallum Guard
Lor    - Dawnshroud - Rockhopper, Ravager; A Sambata Gatherer, Tribal Member; A Tribal Hunter
Raf    - The Deep   - Thought Horrors and Thought Leeches, any but Young
Set    - Scarlet    - Plateau: Sun Revanant, Reaver - *Beware* Elite
Tak    - Maiden's   - Named Gorangas (PH is a goranga scout)
Ved    - Acrylia    - Inner: A Grimling Prison Guard, Deathguard; A Sanctum Bloodguard
Vin    - Ssraeshza  - Mines: A Soriz Corpse, Drudge; A Poxed Soriz.

         You can choose which city faction to ruin for the Kelera shard.
Kelera - Katta      - Lcea Katta and guards; Legionnaires, Centurions

Combine the 10 shards in the Frame to create a new 2 slot container called an
"Unadorned Scepter of Shadows". In this you will need to combine a "Glowing Orb
of Luclinite" (from various high end Luclin Mobs) and "A Planes Rift" (looted
from corpses that appear when Emperor is killed).
This will make "The Scepter of Shadows", a key to Vex Thal.


Misc. History

[Name changed from "Scepter of Akelha Ra Frame" to "Shadowed Scepter Frame".]

[Previously Emperor would drop a Staff that had 2 charges of Summon Rift (20)
The Staff was removed and the corpses were added. The "A ??? Rift" was changed
to the No Drop "A Planes Rift" after a two week warning prior to patching.]
