Ixon headlamp on fork crown bracket
This is the Busch & Müller mouting bracket from Peter White Cycles. The Ixon slides right on. The bracket vibrates a bit, but seems sturdy enough. (So I thought!)

Ixon headlight.
Note that the mudguard mouting bracket has been moved to the front of the fork crown, to allow for the recessed nut to engage in the depression in the rear of the fork.

Ixon on TerraCycle accessory mount.
This mount is very rigid, because of the triangulation. It fits nicely in the otherwise unused space under the bar bag, but is high enough above the wheel to be clear of road spray. (Note that the mudguard does not extend forward of the fork.)

TerraCycle mount with two 90° adaptors
The Busch & Müller mouting bracket broke after about 6 months of use — the continual vibration caused metal fatigue at the bend. Peter White doesn't sell them any more.

TerraCycle mount with 2 90° adaptors (front)
This is a front view, and shows the 90° adaptors more clearly. One is on the left cantiveler brake mount, the other on the mudguard bolt through the fork crown. (This bike has a front disk brake.)

Ixon mounted on bracket (side)
Here you see the (replacement) light mounted. There is much less vibration because the TerraCycle accesory mount is triangulated. Also, there is no bent metal to start fatigue cracks.

Rear View with Ixon mounted
Thanks to Peter White for replacing the light after the first one dropped into the wheel when the bracket failed.
