Tides in the Weddell Sea — data assimilative (doi)

CryoSat-2 altimeter data from ocean and ice-shelf surfaces in the Weddell Sea were assimilated into a barotropic tide model. The files available at the link, below, are formatted according to the OTIS convention. Note that the data are on a polar stereographic grid with SLAT=-70deg and SLON=-45deg; please contact me if you have trouble reading or using these files.

Tides in the Weddell Sea — empirical (doi)

The tidal fields were estimated from CryoSat-2 data using local spatial regression combined with harmonic analysis. The article contains an error: it states that CryoSat-2 SAR-mode and LRM-mode data were used near the ice shelves and open ocean respectively. Instead, the article should have stated that SARin-mode and SAR-mode data were used. I apologize for the error.
