NOTE: The winter 2009 version of this course will be delivered by Professor Bryant York. Professor York will follow the course outline and use the course materials developed by David Archer, who has successfully taught CS 538 for the past three years. David Archer is an expert at computer architecture with over 25 years of experience. Since the course was very well designed, there was no reason to modify the materials. Professor York publicly acknowledges and thanks Dave for the enormous effort and great care that he put into preparing this course as well as the assistance he has given me in preparing for the winter 2009 delivery.
