We spent the first two weeks of December in the south of France.
It was a work trip to ACM Multimedia, followed by a group retreat.
It was a nice location, but I was itching to get back to the snow
and skiing. Unfortunately, I got a bad cold the last day we were there
and was sick for a week when we got back ... and the skiing conditions
were perfect the whole time. Definitely had some catching up to do!
And I did ;-) Christmas was fun. I had to dress up as Jule Nissen
(Santa Claus) and deliver presents to our neighbors kids. Fireworks are
very popular on New Years Eve. We had a great show all around our house.

trip. Honest!

- Back in Norway again. Roe deer are regular visitors to our garden. They are really small,
about the size of a dog.

- Guess who? No, its not a yeti! Its Julenissen (Santa Claus) delivering
presents to the local children on Christmas Eve.

- Waxing skis in our cellar before heading out for the day.

- Went classic skiing today. A great 20km loop from our house via
Sinober hytta (hut). The first picture shows Kirti and Thomas putting their
skis on outside our house so they could ski to the start of the ski
trails. Lots of snow and -8 degrees C makes for great skiing. Its
supposed to drop to -20 degrees C in the next couple
of days, so the snow should stay around. Yipee!

- Last day of 2002. Went to work in the morning and went out skiing
from home in the afternoon. It was around 0 degrees F, which made
for a bomb-proof grip for the kick wax. Definitely the cat's whiskers ;-)
