We arrived in Norway on November 13. The views from the plane were lovely,
but it sure looked cold down there! Quite a change from Portland. When we
arrived we rented a car. This is not a good idea in Norway because its
REALLY expensive - like a grand a week! Anyhow, we probably needed it.
We spent most of the rest of the month settling in to our house
(which is perfect for us), getting all our paperwork done, shopping for a
car of our own, and getting to grips with our new jobs. Oh yes, and just
a little skiing ;-) We both had the worst jet lag. The low light and short
days makes it really hard to readjust.
