Submit Your Solution

This is where you upload your solution (the form is at the bottom of the page). You can make multiple submissions during the contest; we encourage you to submit early to avoid possible last-minute network congestion. You can always submit again if you later come up with a better solution.

Your First Submission

Here is the procedure for making your first submission.

  1. Package your program as described in the task description. The submission system will help you catch some basic problems, but it is by no means bullet proof.
  2. Upload your TGZ file but leave the "Submission Token" field blank. The submission system will get your team name from the TGZ file and compare it with the records. If you get a "token mismatch" error on your first submission, then someone else had already submitted with the same team name. Make up another one and try again.
  3. If the submission is successful, you will see an acknowledgement page saying that. Check that the file size and the SHA1 hash sum are correct. Save the submission token on the acknowledgement page; you will need it for subsequent submissions.

Subsequent Submissions

Here is the procedure for making subsequent submissions.

  1. Package your program as described in the task description. You must use the same team name as in your previous submissions. The submission system will help you catch some basic problems, but it is by no means bullet proof.
  2. Upload your TGZ file with the submission token we gave you after your first submission. The submission system will reject your submission unless the token matches your team name.
  3. If the submission is successful, you will see an acknowledgement page saying that. Check that the file size and the SHA1 hash sum are correct.

Submission Size Limit

We currently impose a submission size limit of 20MB. Try to remove unneeded files (temp files, etc.) from your submission. If you need to make submissions larger than the current limit, please let us know.

Lightening Round

New feature! The submission acknowledgement page now displays the message "This submission is eligible for the Lightning Round!" if your upload completes by 12:00 PDT, July 12 2008.
