A model, CE-QUAL-W2 Version 3 (Wells, 1997), is being used to model the river-reservoir system.  The computer model is a two dimensional, laterally averaged, hydrodynamic and water quality model. In order to model the river-reservoir system, the following data were required:
 

• Inflows and inflow temperatures to the reservoirs

• Meteorological conditions in the watershed

• Bathymetry of the reservoirs and the Bull Run River

• Reservoir spillway flows

•  Flows diverted for power generation and to meet water supply requirements

• Characteristics of the withdrawal structures for both reservoirs
