How to run Java Applets in your Web browser (Internet Explorer, Netscape , Mozilla )?
Check whether your browser is already enabled for Java virtual Machine, if not then download the plug-in.
Step-1:
Test your system, whether it already has java plug-ins. Please go the link below or click here Test my virtual machine (http://www.java.com/en/download/help/testvm.jsp). Check the plugin version level. If it is v1.4 or greater you are ready to run the Alignment Visualization.
Step-2 Download Java Plug-in.
2.1 The link below will take you directly to the automatic download page of java plug-in. As soon as you click the link it will automatically download the plug-ins in your web browser. Please click here Automatically download Java Plug-in (http://www.java.com/en/download/windows_automatic.jsp ) or go the link below. The page will give you result that whether it was able to install Java Plug-ins or you have to go through manual install.
2.2 If for some reason the above automatic install is not working for you the above link has steps to install Java-plug in manually. It will guide you through the rest of the process. Please follow the same and select v1.4 or greater.
Step-3 Enable Java on your Web browser. (Internet Explorer, Netscape, Mozilla)
If you already installed the Java Plug-in, but Java applets do not work, you may need to
enable Java through your Web browser. Note the algorithm visualization applet requires v1.4
If necessary follow these instructions to enable the Sun Java Plug-in though your
Web browser:
Internet Explorer 4.x and Up
1. Click "Tools" --> "Internet Options"
2. Select the Advanced Tab, and scroll down to Java
3. Check the box next to the Sun Java Plug-in version
4. Next, select the Security Tab, and select the 'Custom Level' button
5. Scroll down to Scripting of Java applets
6. Make sure the enable radio button is checked.
7. Click OK to save your preference.
Mozilla 1.x
1. From the menu bar, choose Edit --> Preferences
2. Select the Advanced category
3. Check the box labeled "Enable Java"
4. Click OK to save your preference.
Netscape 7.x
1. From the menu bar, choose Edit --> Preferences
2. Select the Advanced category
3. Check the box labeled "Enable Java"
4. Click OK to save your preference.
Netscape 4.x
1. From the menu bar, choose Edit --> Preferences
2. Select the Advanced category
3. Select "Certificates"
4. Check the box labeled "Enable Java"
5. Check the box labeled "Enable Java Plug-in"
6. Click OK to save your preference.
