These recipes were found in the collection of Bessie Segerlind (my grandmother) several years after her passing. I have been transcribing them to Microsoft Works Database files. Joan Segerlind has been binding them into booklets and distributing them to family members.
The collection is complete rather than
representative. Every recipe which I have found in her collection
is included verbatim. This
includes several magazine and advertisement cut-outs
that I doubt she used more than once. The user is well-advised to
consult their own memory
when using these recipes.
Comments about the recipes are always
welcome, whether they be cooking tips or historical comments such
as "These were usually served at Christmas".
