BOOKS:
  1. Claudio Becchetti and Lucio Prina Ricotti, "Speech Recognition. Theory and C++ Implementation".
This is a very good book because it explains software in C++ in detail. Has also some theory, but not very useful, too superficial. This book includes a CDROM with C++ programs, you have to come to me and borrow the book. Your task will be to run the software from the book and experiment with it.

  2. D.C. Childers, "Speech Processing and Synthesis Toolboxes".
This book is good about speech analysis and synthesis, it has two CDROMs with Matlab code ready to use. Please come to me and borrow the book. You will have to run this software and do some experiments.

  3. Richard A. Haddad and Thomas W. Parsons, "Digital Signal Processing. Theory, Applications and Hardware".
This book was used for my previous classes. General DSP theory.

  4. J.R. Deller, Jr, J.G. Proakis, J.H.L. Hansen, "Discrete-Time Processing of Speech Signals".
Recommended by Prof. Fu Lu, used in PSU and many other universities in speech classes.
