Project Objective:
Our original objective was to build a robotic hand that would ask someone walking past to shake it; close when the person grabbed the hand, and say something funny before letting go like, "Crushing sequence initiated!"
Our new objective is to present a working air muscle hand model with control box module to Professor Perkowski, and to present what we have accomplished on the Internet and describe what we have learned through constructing our project. We believe that our experiences will be a valuable learning tool for others.
We will describe our project construction step by step and underscore what we have learned and how this can be helpful to others in the future. In order to fufill our new objective, we are providing Professor Perkowski with the aforementioned working model of an air muscle hand, which is operated via air pump and set up to easily accomodate future experimentation. In our opinion, the control box module provided with the air muscle hand is ideally suited for future research because it provides a foundation for creating control systems using: computer programming, electronic components and basic logic functions.

Resources:
We found that shopping for a robotics project is definitely not a one shop stop. Through trial and error we have compiled a list of stores that provide suitable resources for building robots. They are:

Other people interested in assembling this type of project should allott at least 15 man hours to this phase of the project, because it takes a lot longer than you would think. Additionally, you will almost indubitably have to return some items, so plan accordingly.
