LUNAR CHICK |
The Lunar Chick was the first test of lunar gravity simulations on a small object. The spring inside of the toy was slightly too tense to allow for lunar simulation without additional force being required (namely, dropping the whole package). 790 KB. |
LUNAR COW |
The Lunar Cow was the second installment of fun and games in the lab, but was used to test a walking motion, rather than a hopping one. Since we were going to attempt to get the dog to do tricks for us, we wanted to know the capabilities of the helium lift system before-hand. 2,690 KB. |
LUNAR DOG |
The Lunar Dog is the culmination of the efforts of the ASE interns. "Mad Max", a dachshund with a very mild temperment, was the test subject for a period of about an hour, and his attempts at walking were very amusing. Thanks go to NASA and PSU for providing funding for this exciting experiment. 4,018 KB. |
