CS 340 Course Information
Spring 2008

Requirements
Grading will be as follows:

10% Written Assignments (To be handed out in class)
60% Two 2-hour Exams
30% Final Exam

Study Habits

• Study every day (perhaps take one day off)
• Study the glossary of symbols and definitions to get to know the "language".
• Do lots of problems.
• In addition to the assigned problems, do problems that are not assigned.
• Make up your own similar problems and try to solve them.
• Look at problems early so your subconscious has plenty of time to play with them.
• Review daily (all the way from the beginning).
• Read ahead before each lecture.
• Don't expect immediate success. Anything worthwhile takes time and effort.
