I picked the handle "Jesus Freak" from the song by the same name from the band, DC Talk.  I am currently a computer science student at Portland State University as well as a Linux user and amateur website designer.  I listen to all kinds of Christian heavy metal, rock and hiphop like Pillar, Hillsong and Skillet.

The day I got saved, I was delivered from the occult and severe mental illness.  My involvement in the occult made me mentally ill and Jesus delivered me from all that evil.  Before I knew God, I thought God was just waiting for me to die so He could send me to hell.  I thought I sinned too much for God to ever love me.

I was wrong!  I found out from Christians that there is no sin that God will not forgive.

They showed me the truth about how Jesus died to pay the price for my sins, that it is a free gift and that all I have to do is trust and believe that Jesus died on the cross to pay for my sins and rose on the third day from thr grave.  That I did not have to work for salvation and it did not matter what I did in the past.
