I need data!
We've developed a data model and algebra for describing and manipulating simulation datasets, but we've as yet only applied them to CORIE Environmental Observation and Forecasting System.
We're looking for datasets in other domains that we can use to test, validate, and extend our work.
If you are a computational scientist modeling complex systems with finite element, finite volume, finite difference, or other mesh-based techniques, we'd like to hear from you.
Specific domains we hope to investigate include:
- Biological (e.g., fluid flow in the heart)
- Seismic (e.g., building vibrations during earthquakes)
- Aerospace Engineering (e.g., airflow around airplane wings)
- Computer Engineering (e.g., temperature profiles within transistors)
- Structural Engineering (e.g., stress analysis)
- Applied Physics (e.g., complex liquid in porous media)
- Environmental Science (e.g., the CORIE system)
We are especially interested in complex meshes (unstructured, multi-resolution, etc.) and complex transformations (aggregates, regridding, comparisons between models).
