2011 Japanese Micromouse Contests

The 2011 All Japan Micromouse Contest was held from 18 November to 20 November in Tsukuba City. A micromouse is a small, autonomous robot used in maze-searching and line-following competitions. The mice are first allowed to traverse the courses to learn the layout for line-following or the solution to the maze. Using the learning runs to gather data, the mice then (again, autonomously) devise an optimal solution. The winner is determined by the mouse that can navigate the line-following course or the maze in the shortest time.

Here is a short story on the micromouse finals and following are a sample of the many videos from this year's final competition.
