Chapter 1
- Page 32: Figure e for example (e) has the wrong
labels on the time axis. The y-axis is also labelled incorrectly.
It should also be labelled "x(2(t-1)) = x(2t-4)".
- Page 36: In the first paragraph there is a reference
to Eq. (1.30) which should be Eq. (1.31).
- Page 38: The smallest number on the vertical axis
of Figure 1.33 should be -1, not 0 as shown.
- Page 49: In (1.69) there is an extra set of parentheses
around the differential dt. It should just be dt, not d(t).
Chapter 2
- Page 63: In Problem 1.33 they use the notation
x(n) instead of x[n], as they do throughout the rest of the book.
- Page 103: Figure 2.3(c) is a little misleading
because the value of w_5[k] at time k=5 appears to have a value
less than one, when the actual value of the signal at that time
is 1.
- Page 114: The last part of the solution for part
(c) of problem 2.2 should state that y[n] = 0 for n >= 24,
not n<=24 as shown.
Chapter 3
- Page 203: The solution to Example 3.2 states that
the signal has odd symmetry, but it doesn't actually have either
even or odd symmetry.
- Page 208: In the bottom of Figure 3.10 it appears
that the phase isn't odd because X[9] = X[-9] = pi. However,
this is just an artifact of the way the phase was drawn. If X[-9]
had been drawn as -pi, which is equal to a phase of pi, then
the phase would have appeared visually to be odd as well.
- Page 296: Equation (3.58) shows a the relationship
of multiplication in the time domain and convolution in the frequency
domain for the CTFS, not the FT as indicated abouve the double-sided
arrow in the equation.
- Page 324: Problem 3.51e uses the DTFS coefficients
in figure P3.51b, but the amplitude of the coefficients was not
specified. All of the non-zero coefficients should have unit
amplitude, |X[k]| = 1 for |k| < 5.
Chapter 4
- Pg. 345: The right side of equation (4.5) and the preceding
unumbered equation should be multiplied by 2pi, as shown in (4.6).
