Class meeting on 26,27 November 2012
A high school student started the invention of a prosthetic device that is aimed at relieving phantom limb pain. Accord to this article in the NY Times she is now a sophomore at the University of Maryland, and she is the CEO of her own company. She is not making the product commercially yet.
The key point from the article is that she was persistent and skillful in finding experts who could fill in the gaps in her knowledge. She had the good idea, but when she started, she didn't know how to make it real.
