Discus publications with an internet presence
Discus Study Group (DSG)
Welcome to the Discus Study Group. In this page we try to tell you about
our group and to add another resource for those just starting their
adventure into the world of keeping the Discus Fish.
Diskus Brief
(DB) was founded in late 1985 by Horst Kohler, and first published in the
spring of 1986. The exclusive articles for DISKUS BRIEF are written by
expert authors from all over the world.
NOTE: Diskus Brief magazine is without a doubt the best discus
resource currently available. The parent magazine is in German, but
a translated version is available. Currently the translated version
is at risk of being discontinued due to a lack of subscriptions. Don't
let this happen! Order your subscription of the best discus magazine
available! Articles range from general interest to scientific studies
of specific topics.
Discus Mailing Lists
The Grand-Daddy of Discus mailing lists, Discus-L,
is maintained by Dave Hardy at MIT. With over 850 subscribers, it is a
wealth of online information. Advertising is not permitted on this
server (with the exception of whatever fits in your signature). Discus-L
is highly suggested reading for any discus keeper. Many breeders frequent
the discus-l mailing list.
Discus Fever is a
mailing list originally created to discuss both wild and domestic strains
of discus. Trading and advertising are encouraged. Discus Fever is maintained
by discus breeder, Richard Rainwater of Rainwater Discus.
