Hypothesis Tests |
This simulation demonstrates a hypothesis test. It has two modes, selected by the Histogram/Risks radio button. Both modes demonstrate a hypothesis test by showing its Operating Characteristic (OC) curve. Specify the test (and change the OC curve) by changing the sample size and accept limit. The OC curve gives the probability of accepting a population vs. its true DPM.
Histogram mode allows you to change the true DPM and see both the probability of accepting (yellow dot) and distribution (histogram) of possible samples, with the currently selected sample indicated.
Risk mode shows the 4 risk parameters alpha and AQL (producer risk) and beta and RQL (consumer risk). You can adjust them by moving the edges of the red-or-green boxes. Your goal is to specify a hypothesis test that meets all 4 risk parameters. A green box indicates met risk parameters; a red box indicates unmet parameters.
