(1). How to Shop Around for Life Insurance --An Hour-Long Informational Seminar

If you are someone who has child(ren)/spouse/ parent(s) dependent on you, or if you are the sole or major bread-winner in your family, you may have already considered buying more life insurance in addition to the term life insurance, if any, provided by your company.

But do you know enough about life insurance to make a good decision? What if you don't (like most of us)? Are you then going to buy whatever promoted by a high-pitch salesperson who calls you right at your dinner time?

And do you know that, according to "Consumer Reports", one of the nation's highly regarded consumer magazines, in the past few years there has been roughly a 50 percent drop in term life insurance cost, which now becomes so low that government regulations may soon set the floor, as already happened in New York?

To assist you become an informed consumer of life insurance, CFA has asked John Liu, an insurance specialist, to share with us his knowledge on life insurance, with an emphasis on how to shop around for a good deal, a tough topic a typical insurance agent wouldn't even want to talk about.
