My research area is in wireless networking. I am currently working on the problem of providing high data-rate wireless connectivity to users in indoor environments using smart antenna arrays and SDMA in the 60GHz ISM band. I built a detailed simulation for the propagation environment at this frequency, using ray tracing in Matlab. Measurement data collected by various researchers is incorporated into this model. At this stage, we are experimenting with the achievable rate using our proposed architecture.
