BMN Lab hosts Johns Hopkins' Center for Talented Youth
On Nov. 10, the BMN Lab hosted a workshop for talented students from 6-11th grades titled, "Sensing Small Things in a Small World," as part of Johns Hopkins' University Center for Talented Youth 2007 fall Academic program, Explorations in Nanoscale Science and Engineering. The event was hosted at Portland State University in cooperation with Johns Hopkins' University Center for Talented Youth, the Oregon Nanoscience and Microtechnologies Institute (ONAMI), and Portland State's Maseeh College of Engineering & Computer Science. BMN Lab Students receive Awards of Excellence at AAAS Conference
and received Awards of Excellence for their submissions to the 88th annual meeting of the Pacific Division of AAAS in Boise, ID in June, 2007. Ravi received recognition for his work, "Nanomonitors: Electrical Immunoassays," and Vinu for, "Iridium Oxide Nanowire Monitors for Protein Detection."
