Aces Up Rules Summary

Dave Brown and I have put together the following summary of the Aces Up rules, which may be helpful:
  1. Shuffle the deck.
  2. Repeat until the stock is empty:
    1. Deal four face up cards in a row (onto the 4 tableau spaces).
    2. Repeat the following two moves in turn until no more forward progress can be made:
      • Discarding move: while an exposed card has lower value and the same suit as another exposed card, discard the lower card.
      • Filling move: while an empty space exists in the tableau, move any exposed card into it.
  3. The game is won if just the 4 aces are left in the tableau, and lost otherwise.
