ASME student meet industry day, Friday Febuary 15th. Register with Dave whos email is given below. Tell Dave what your interests are and he will set you up with an appropriate engineer. Do this NOW because time is getting short!
Student Meet Industry day is your opportunity to show a graduating
engineer where you work. It is a great opportunity to interest a new
engineer in working in your industry and maybe even at your company. It
is
a fun event and a service to the engineering profession.
ENGINEERS:
Please host one or more engineering students at your work for the
afternoon of Friday February 15, 2008. The student comes to your
workplace
about 1 PM, you spend the afternoon getting to know the student and
showing off your work, and then you are invited to attend a dinner
meeting
hosted by the ASME Oregon section. Dinner will be followed by
interesting
presentation. Your dinner cost will be covered by ASME for hosting a
student. Dinner meeting details will be posted soon.
STUDENTS:
This is a great way to gain a practical feel for what it is like in an
industry that interests you. Students with Junior or Senior standing
are
encouraged to participate.
