After years of wishing and wanting, I have finally acted. I recently released my first contribution to the open source community: SearchMark, a Google Chrome extension that allows the user to search their bookmarked pages. The extension nearly eliminates the need to constantly organize bookmarks — just search the bookmarked pages using relevant keywords. Other community contributions include:
- Participating in events that promote Science and Education to children. I have mainly volunteered at MESA, and Portland State University in events like educational summer camps, the engineering design competition, and the engineering discovery showcase
- Participating in open source projects. I file bugs when I can, use Debian as my only OS, and have completed an open source project (SearchMark)
- Participating as Secretary of my Home Owners Association
