- The homework problems and due dates are in the schedule.
- A solution is a clear and simple answer to a question. A few lines suffice for most problems.
- Homework is due at the start of the first lecture of the week following the week of assignment. E.g., in week 2 turn in the homework assigned in week 1.
- Hard copy submissions are delivered in class.
- Soft copies submission are emailed to cs250pdxhomework@gmail.com. Only plain text and PDF formats are graded. Ensure readability, e.g., a phone picture of a hand-written page may not be readable. Use this mailbox only to submit homework. Messages for instructor and TA will be lost.
- All the homework you submit will count toward your grade, see basis for grade. You can skip up to 3 homeworks without penalty throughout the entire course. For this reason, late homework will never be accepted.
- You will receive 1 (one) point for each correct answer and 0 (zero) for each incorrect or missing answer.
- Assignments are collected at the beginning of the lecture in which they are due since solutions may be presented during the lecture.
- Homework grades are posted on-line anonymously. Use a pen name if you want to be able to recognize your grade.
- To define your pen name follow the instructions at grades to date.
- The homework is returned in class once after it has been graded. If you are unable to collect it on the day it is returned, you may collect it from the teaching assistant during her office hours.
- Collect all your homework before the final. Uncollected homework is disposed right after the final.
